Bengaluru: Ending this year and the whole of 2022 will be a treat for movie buffs as some of the most anticipated cinemas are slated to hit the silver screen.
Releasing on December 24 will be four major movies. Firstly will be 83 starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and others. The movie is about the Indian Cricket Team’s triumph at the 1983 Cricket World Cup held in England. The movie is jointly produced by Deepika Padukone, Kabir Khan, Vishnuvardhan Induri, Sajid Nadiadwala, Reliance Entertainment, Phantom Films and 83 Film Ltd.
Apart from Ranveer Singh who plays Kapil Dev, the Captain of Indian Cricket Team and Deepika Padukone as Romi Bhatia Dev, the Kabir Khan directorial also stars Pankaj Tripathi as P.R Man Singh (Manager of the Cricket Team), Tahir Raj Bhasin (Sunil Gavaskar), Tamil actor Jiva (Krishnamachari Srikkanth), Saqib Saleem (Mohinder Amarnath), Jatin Sarna (Yashpal Sharma), Chirag Patil (Sandeep Patil), Dinker Sharma (Kirti Azad), Nishant Dahiya (Roger Binny), Harrdy Sandhu (Madan Lal), Sahil Khattar (Syed Kirmani), Ammy Virk (Balwinder Sandhu), Adinath Kothare (Dilip Vengsarkar), Dhairya Karwa (Ravi Shastri) and R. Badree (Sunil Valson). Apart from the main characters, the movie also features actors Neena Gupta and Boman Irani who play the roles of Kapil Dev mother Raj Kumari Nikhanj and the legendary Farokh Engineer respectively.
