With Sincerity and Service, Chairman Azeezulla Ajju Wins Hearts in H.D. Kote

Mysore/HD Kote, September 25, 2025:Mr. Azeezulla @ Ajju, Chairman of the Mysuru District Waqf Advisory Committee, along with his team, visited several villages in H.D. Kote Taluk to understand local community needs and extend Waqf support. Known affectionately as “Ajju Brothers”, Mr. Azeezulla has earned a strong reputation for his sincerity, hard work, and people-first approach, transforming the way citizens perceive the Waqf Board.

Joining him on the visit were Ward No. 9 Ex-Corporator Sami Ajju, Nasiruddin Babu, Nisar Ahmed, Khaleel, Waqf Officer Mushtaq, and Syed (Shabnam). The team met with village committees, inspected mosques, and listened directly to people’s appeals, strengthening the connection between the Waqf Board and the public.

Changing Perceptions About the Waqf Board

Until recently, many people were unaware of what the Waqf Board was or its role in community development. Since assuming charge as Mysuru District Advisory Committee Chairman, Mr. Azeezulla has worked tirelessly to take the Waqf Board closer to the people, ensuring transparency and building trust.

In less than three months, his initiatives have made a remarkable impact:

  • Felicitating 100 SSLC toppers (2024–25 batch) with a ₹5,000 cheque, a memento, and a certificate.
  • Supporting over 50 widows by distributing cloth stitching machines to help them become self-reliant.
  • Increasing public visits to the Waqf office, with more citizens now aware of its location and purpose.

These actions highlight his commitment to education, empowerment, and social welfare, proving his leadership goes beyond ceremonial duties.

Village Visits and Community Appeals

Jayapura Village:

The Chairman first visited Jayapura, where he met the local committee led by Mohammed Ali, Muttallib, Azeezulla, Nazeer, and Ziauddin. Committee members showcased the under-construction mosque and appealed for grants to complete it. They also submitted proposals for future development projects. The Waqf Chairman was later felicitated by the committee members for his support.

Hampapura Village:

At Hampapura, the community welcomed Mr. Azeezulla warmly. The 70-year-old mosque, in dire need of renovation, along with toilets and the graveyard compound wall, were highlighted as urgent issues. The committee also presented a new mosque construction plan, requesting immediate assistance.

Here, local committee members proposed building a community hall to serve as a gathering place for social and educational activities. The Chairman assured them their appeal would be given due attention.

Handpost Village:

The Waqf Chairman was received by Committee President Mohammed Fazil and his team. They showed him the condition of the mosque and stressed the need for funds to build fencing around the graveyard. Following their proposal, the committee honored the Chairman and his delegation.

H.D. Kote Town:

The visit concluded in H.D. Kote town, where Mr. Azeezulla and his team inspected the mosque, madrasa, and graveyard. A felicitation program was also held for over 30 students, each honored with a ₹5,000 cheque, a memento, and a certificate for their academic achievements. Prior to the felicitation, a lively public interaction session was held in the Waqf function hall.

Connecting with the People

During the interaction, citizens raised questions and sought clarifications about Waqf’s functioning. Mr. Azeezulla patiently addressed each query, reinforcing his commitment to transparency.

In his heartfelt speech, he said:

“I believe God has entrusted me with a role to serve. I am committed to working sincerely, so when I die, I can face God with a clean heart.”

His words deeply resonated with the gathering. A senior citizen named Akmal, aged 65, remarked:

“Until today, I did not know what the Waqf Board was or why it exists. It is only through Ajju Saab’s efforts that we now understand its purpose.”

Students who spoke to Mediagraam News also expressed their gratitude, saying they were deeply touched by the Chairman’s gesture of recognizing their hard work.
