Bengaluru: After a roaring success of ‘Salaga’ and ‘Rathnan Prapancha’, ‘Daali’ Dhananjaya will hitting the silver screen on December 24 as ‘Badava Rascal’.
The Tagaru-famed actor, known for versatile acting and literature skills, has donned the hat of a producer for the first time through Badava Rascal. Having cleared the censor process with a ‘U/A’ certificate, Dhananjay took to social media to announce the release date of his much anticipated movie.
The movie is an action entertainer with Amrutha Iyengar as the lead actress. Talented actors Nagabhushan and Poornachandra Mysore will be seen in key roles. Badava Rascal was earlier scheduled to be released in the month of September but the makers decided to postpone release owing to covid-19 restriction. With the Karnataka Government allowing 100 percent occupancy, makers of the movie have decided to release Badava Rascal in theatres.
‘Rathanan Prapancha’ the latest movie of Dhananjay which was released on Amazon Prime received good response from the public. Similarly, role in the Duniya Vijay starrer ‘Salaga’ was also appreciated by the cine goers. The title of the movie ‘Badava Rascal’ has built a sense of curiosity among the Kannada audience and it is expected to reach maximum viewers. ‘Udupi Hotel’, the song from the movie is already a super hit and film is also expected to be a blockbuster.
The movie is directed by Shankar Guru. Composer Vasuki Vaibhav has rendered the music with Preeta Jayaraman as its cinematographer.
Dhananjay will be next seen in Allu Arjun starrer ‘Pushpa’, ‘Thothapuri’, ‘Head Bush’, ‘Monsoon Raaga’, ‘Bairagi’, Tamil movie ‘Paayum Oli Nee Yenakku’ and ‘21 hours’, a bilingual movie to be shot in Malayalam and Kannada languages.
